I can't seem to find any interesting books lately and a little help would be greatly appreciated. I'll read pretty much anything but romance, and even then I'll bend if the book has been suggested to me.
I'm kind of in the mood for something dark.
Thanks in advance for any help I get.

Re: Need Reccomendations
Fri, May 22, 2009 - 6:25 PMHmm,
James Enge's "The Blood of Ambrose" is dark.
Dave Freer and Eric Flint's "Slow train to Arcturus" is not, but it won a readers choice award for 2008. -

Fri, May 22, 2009 - 10:05 PM"Slow Train to Arcturus" definitely seems like the kind of thing I would read.
I'll check out "The Blood of Ambrose." I'm 50-50 on fantasy novels. Sometimes I love them, sometimes I hate them. -

Re: Need Reccomendations
Wed, August 5, 2009 - 12:16 PMI just read "Son of a Witch" by Gregory Maguire which is the sequel to "Wicked". "Wicked" is a retelling of "The Wizard of Oz" from the wicked witch's point of view. Dark. Yup. But I thoroughly enjoyed them.
