Be sure to post back! I've heard loads about the books but haven't been drawn in yet.

I read the first 3. Not bad but really for teens more than adults. A little too much teenage agnst to suit me. But I also love vampires as well as shapeshifters.

i have read them all, and enjoyed them. i love anything vampires :) they were a very quick read as they are young adult fiction. i have to say i didnt care for book four adn anyone debating reading them should know that they are really more of a romance than a vamp/werewolf series.
i think one of the things that us adults might like out of it is the love between bella and edward, it is the kind of love you envision before you have ever really fallen in love. it become the obsessive love you feel durring you first taste of love at a younger age. there were parts it almost seemed like i was re-reading old journal enteries from high school :)

Different kind of rules and vampire related thing.
Fun reads, easy reads.

My niece is addicted to the series. It's like the Harry Potter thing in my mind; whatever gets the kid to read is a good thing.

Talk about addictive -- I recently picked up the Charlaine Harris Dead Until Dark, the first Sookie Stackhouse novel (basis for HBO True Blood series, which I've not seen). This is far from the stuff I normally read, but damned if it wasn't a fun read, so fun that I bought the second in the series immediately after finishing the first.
