Well Patrick--if you can't do your own research how about--
Sun, October 18, 2009 - 12:29 PM"Memoirs of a Geisha" by Arthur Golden. It's written by a man as if he were a geisha and female. That oughtta hold you over for awhile. -

Mon, November 9, 2009 - 5:45 PMYes, I want to read it again or at least page through it on a lazy Sunday afternoon.
I'm currently reading another first-person book "I, the Divine (A Novel in First Chapters)" by Rabih Alameddine. I am on the fifth first chapter.
If you like funny and gritty, you will love this beguiling read. -

Re: Well Patrick--if you can't do your own research how about "I the Divine"?
Mon, November 9, 2009 - 6:10 PMI just wanted to share my favorite bit from the book thus far:
I met Fadi on my first day in class. I sat behind him, where his first question to me was "Are you a lesbian?" My response was swift: "Your mother's cunt, you brother of a whore."

Re: First person
Wed, October 21, 2009 - 9:19 PMMany of vonnegut's stories are written in first person. Of course the entire genre of strem of conciousness narrative are an extreme example of first person stories, so that opens up a great deal. -
